Real Madrid have abandoned their pursuit of France star Paul Pogba and is Manchester United-bound, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
Real and United are the only two clubs interested in landing Pogba, but it is claimed United have blown the 11-time European champions out of the water with a colossal bid for the 23-year-old.
Balague told BBC Radio 5 live that United will pay £100million to Juventus for Pogba, as well as 25 million euros to agent Mino Raiola and between 13 and 15 million euros plus bonuses per year to Pogba in wages.
“Real Madrid have basically said: ‘no way we’re going to pay that’ and they’ve abandoned the auction,” Balague said.“So I think he’s Manchester United-bound. Did he want to go to Old Trafford and play in the Europa League? I don’t know, I don’t think so.”
