Police in Benue arrest four robbers, cultist

The Benue State Command of the Nigeria Police have arrested four armed robbery suspects in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area (LGA) and a 19 year old cultist in Otukpo LGA of the state.
The Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Moses Yamu, disclosed this in Makurdi on Friday.
According to him, the police trailed the robbers to their hideout after a tip-off that the suspected robbers had seized a Toyota bus from its owner at gunpoint.
The Adamawa bound Toyota bus, according to report took off from Anambra state, Yamu also observed that the police recovered from the suspects a Revolver, two locally made pistols as well as valuables that were robbed from the occupants of the bus, adding that they would soon be charged to court.
The police spokesman also said the police had earlier arrested a 19 year old suspected cultist (names withheld) in Otukpo LGA of the state.
Yamu explained that the suspect who has been on the run since December, 2015 was arrested in connection with the killing of one Emmanuel Ogli in December, 2015.
Recovered from house of the cultist who would soon be charged to court, the PPRO said was a locally made pistol and a battle axe.
